Dragon of the Lý Dynasty

Hello everyone, this month I’m joining the Character Design Challenge with the Zodiac theme. @characterdesignchallenge
I decided to explore the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac, starting with my own sign — the Dragon (Thìn). Instead of drawing a “generic” dragon, I wanted the character to carry a very Vietnamese spirit, so I took inspiration from the Lý dynasty dragon: a long, flowing body, a gentle yet majestic gaze, and clouds curling around like the carvings on ancient temple roofs and reliefs.
I call him Lý Long Quân – Dragon of the Lý Dynasty.
